Hey everybody, wassup wasssup wasssup!
I've been so busy performing
and booking gigs lately, I haven't had time to update the site for a few weeks.
The band kicks off the summer with the party at Spahettini in Seal Beach tonite,
and its going to be a blast!
I played there with Eric Marienthal last Sunday, and we had a great time.
During the six week break when Kikuya closed down, a lot of opportunities came my way. You
know what they say, one door closes, another ten open. I ended up doing all the keyboards
on a new film directed by Francis Ford Coppola's son Christopher a few weeks ago. The movie is called
"G Men From Hell" and its kind of like Pulp Fiction only stranger...look for it as an
indy release sometime in the next year.....
Harvey Mason, the world renowned drummer from Foreplay, has started his own all star band
with a great line up of players. The band is Harvey, drums; Paul Jackson Jr., guitar; Freddie Washington, bass;
Phil Perry, vocals; Michael Paulo, guitar, and me on keys. We did our first gig two weeks ago at
the Ritz Carlton out in Palm Springs and WOW! it was fun. Harvey says we will be doing more stuff
in the coming months, so stay tuned for more info.............
I took a musical director job with a new singer who is screaming up the smooth jazz charts during the
break as well. Her name is Samantha Siva. We are filming a BET special for her in DC on Monday June 12,
so I've got to leave right after the Spag gig for that. You can look for her CD on Amazon.com, she
said its in the top ten for sales this week................
Talk to you all soon, and see you live sometime this month!
