As a live performer, Rob Mullins in and out of
Hollywood has the
distinction of a diverse and noteworthy career both as a
keyboardist and a music director. Not only does Rob perform regularly
in Hollywood
with his own group featuring music from his 17 recorded CD's, but he
also has appeared with a huge variety of name celebrities and
recording artists including Hubert
Laws (jazz and orchestral music), Bruce Willis
(blues), Hoyt Axton and Buddy Emmons (country), The Crusaders (jazz
funk
pioneers), The China Club All Stars (Rock and Blues), Ronnie Laws (jazz
fusion),
Spike Robinson and Dianne Schuur (mainstream jazz), Eric
Marienthal
(smooth jazz), Billy Preston (pop), Edgar Winter (rock), and many
others. Rob is a bona fide Hollywood Star. He regularly performs
at celebrity events, sometimes in the forefront, sometimes in the
background, but always putting on a high quality show whether he is
playing jazz piano, musical directing top singers, or just jamming with
other Hollywood Stars such as Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty Greatest
Hits album.
Rob Mullins Grammy Awards association is a strong one as he is a
previously nominated jazz composer, and now voting member of the
National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences, the Academy that
puts on the Grammy Awards and associated events in Hollywood.
Rob's diverse musical background has
garnered him
numerous
accolades including hosting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Pasadena Jazz
Concert,
musical directing the Black and Blue Ball Charity Event, musical
director
for the Focus Institute on Film Sundance Film Festival Benefit,
headline
artist at the Orange County Jazz and Blues Festival, featured performer
with
The Meeting standing in for Patrice Rushen, and headline artist
at
the Fields Pianos Jazz Festival.
