Hiya folks, Rob here with the January 2001 news.
I had planned a nice relaxing month with a huge website update mostly
based around my writings on the state of the world,
social changes, things happening on the web, and some cool new features
and columns I was goin to debut at the first of this year.
As it has turned out, this usually slow time of the year for people
in the music business is the busiest time not only of the year for me,
but the busiest in my whole career.
Greg Vail came in and we started his next new CD on Monday. Ten songs,
gospel oriented, really great material.
Spaghettini is still happening on Friday nights in Seal Beach.
Kikuya is back and happening in Huntington Beach on Saturdays.
The China Club Band which I am in is doing Wednesdays at Barfly in
Hollywood.
I got called to do a special party for the ultra successful film director
Robert Zemekis (sp), which is happening
this weekend ( january 13 weekend).
I am in production on three songs for the new Eric Marienthal CD with
Russ Freeman of the Rippingtons.
I got called to work on "King of Queens", a new TV series, and have
11 pieces of music to turn in for them by Monday.
I got called to do more work on "The Parkers" which is a show I work
on from time to time.
I am still teaching on Thursdays, and my student list is growing.
I am going out of town on the 21st to do a concert with Hubert Laws
in Houston.
The Namm Show is next weekend in Anaheim, and I am going.
I am still trying to finish my first book.
I am in the process of releasing my first artist project as Rob Mullins
for this year.
With this kind of schedule going on, I just don't have any time for
the web at the moment.
I appreciate your patience and support and your presence at the live
gigs.
Happy New Year everyone, and I hope yours is going as well as mine.
Talk to you all soon.
Rob
