september2000news/dusseldorf trip page1

We left here on August 24 or so, and made the trip over to Germany on LTU airlines, kings of the only one carry on bag rule..lol.
We arrived in Dusseldorf on Friday, August 25 and had a day off before we were going to perform.
The festival actually started that day with Slim Man, Anthony Wheelin, and Gabriela Anders. I was too tired to go,
but I heard the night was a big success.
The next day was Saturday, and I went to the festival site pretty early to make sure that my keyboard gear was the right stuff,
and I had the chance to snap a few pictures before the event got rolling.

There were a few people milling about as you can see, but it was pretty empty because of the time of day which was cool for me because it gave me a chance to move around and get some different views of this awesome castle ruins that was built way back in the year 850AD.

Above is a view from the front gate area of the festival where people come in to watch the bands. You can see the stage there
in the distance and a good portion of the castle.

I decided to walk through the castle and check out some of the cool views.
Above is the stairway I went up to check out some of the ruins.
