WHAT DRUM GROOVES ARE:
My drumtrax are cool sounding grooves
that I did in my recording studio. They range from 110 bpm to 240 bpm.
HOW DRUM GROOVES ARE USED: DRUM
GROOVES are used by musicians who need great sounding drum trax to
practice to in the practice room, living room, or
wherever they are at the time. My
DRUMTRAX have only the drums on the CD's, and each track is five minute
long or longer. If you have something to learn for a gig, concert, band
practice, improvised solo, or just want to compose to a great groove, these
trax are for you.
WHY DRUM GROOVES ARE SO EASY
TO USE: Let's say you are a high school or college music student, and
you want to practice your tunes in the practice room, or at your friends
house. Many play along CD's require that you have a computer around to
use them. You don't need a computer to use DRUM GROOVES, just a
CD player. Let's say you have a digital keyboard with a million buttons
on it and you have no idea how 3/4 of the buttons work, but you have got
to practice something for a gig right now and you need help keeping your
timing straight. Just put the CD in the CD player or the Disklavier and
hit play. DRUM GROOVES gives you a count off, and off you go playing
to great studio drum trax working on your music. And since DRUM GROOVES
have no bass parts or specific songs to them, you aren't stuck with other
play along CD's problems of having to change volume of one speaker to another
or being stuck to the arrangement that the play along creator made. You
can practice the same line over and over until you get it, then advance
to a faster tempo. You can compose your own music over DRUM GROOVES
and end up with your own song.
BAND DIRECTORS: This is a
great timekeeping solution for you. You can use drum tracks for rehearsing
parts in sectionals. You can use
DRUM GROOVES for helping your drummer
learn how to play good grooves. Just send him home with the CD's and have
him play along. Whip your soloists into shape by giving them DRUM GROOVES
to get their timing together for improvisational solos.
PRIVATE TEACHERS: Use
drum tracks to improve the timing of your students as well as your own
playing.
WHAT KIND OF GROOVES YOU CAN
BUY: Right now, there is a Jazz Grooves CD and a Latin
Grooves CD. Each starts at a slow tempo with the first grooves and
advances to fast tempos by the end of the CD. The grooves change in style
and complexity as the tempos speed up, not like a drum machine that has
no feel change when you raise the tempo, and not like a digital keyboard's
drum tracks. The grooves at the faster tempos were played in the studio
at the tempos you get when you buy DRUM GROOVES, so the way the
drummer hits the snare has the right feel at the fast tempo, and the feel
changes on the slower tracks with a more laid back swing on the Jazz Groove
CD. The cool dynamics of the kick drum and auxilary percussion in the Latin
Grooves CD make it a lot of fun to play to!
WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU BUY DRUM
GROOVES: You get the audio CD for playing in your CD player.
You get the track list and the bpm listings for each track so that if you
have something specific to practice, you just find the closest tempo on
DRUM GROOVES to what you are comfortable practicing at, then raise
the tempo to performance tempo as you get better at playing what you are
practicing. You also get detailed instructions on DRUM GROOVES as
well as a short but valuable free music lesson on the importance of good
rythym in your music.
PRICES: Each DRUM GROOVES
CD is 19.95$ plus shipping and handling. Pretty reasonable for a lifelong
practice tool, don't you think?
